Well, it’s that time of the year again… the time of year when it starts getting warmer outside, spring training for baseball has begun down south, and winter is FINALLY on its way out (and I think I speak for all of us when I say thank goodness!).
Of course with it being just a short time until spring, it’s almost time for my spring haircut! I always look forward to this haircut for a few reasons:
- First, regular grooming and bathing is important to my health! I, like your dog get some really nasty mats in my fur and not only are they painful (think knots in your hair painful) but it can be a nice cozy home for fleas, ticks, and other nasty things. Not cool.
- Also, as the weather starts to get warmer I’ll be shedding my winter coat for a nice cooler summer wear. But sometimes the old fur gets tangled into the new fur creating knots.
- Last but certainly not least, it makes me look good! And with summer right around the corner, that means going to the dog park and hanging out with other dogs… And I have to look good for the ladies ;-)
Now, my good friends at the Family Pet Resort take care of me and make sure I look stylish. They’re awesome and they use this Hydrosurge Washing System that is absolutely WONDERFUL!! The best way I can describe it is taking a bath in a jacuzzi. I get clean and massaged at the same time. You can find some more info by visiting their website; http://www.familypetresort.com/grooming.html
But what about my readers who don’t live in the Philadelphia area? As much as I would like you all to visit, I realize it’s quite impractical to fly all the way out here to get a haircut. Well, stay tuned everybody because on Monday, I’ll give some great suggestions on finding the perfect groomer for you. Then, later in the week, I’ll even be giving some do-it-yourself grooming tips!
Stay pawfect Philadelphia,
John Dogey
PS: I still don’t have a name :-( Please leave suggestions in the comments section!
